We collect your personal information when you interact with us, this may be by visiting our website, signing up for our mailing list, applying for one of our awards, contacting us via email or telephone, or interacting with us on social media. From time to time we may also receive data about you from our performance venue partners, this is usually in the form of anonymised statistics.

What information do we collect from you?
We may collect, use and store your name, email address, phone number, address, event attendance, publicly available social media activity and internet log information. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
If you are applying for one of our awards, we will collect the information contained in your application form and accompanying documents, and other information you may share with us at interview. Further information on how we process award applications can be found in application packs.
We will only collect the information that is necessary to provide the particular service that you have requested or to carry out our charitable work.
How we use the information about you
Where you have given us your consent by opting in, we use your information to send you updates via our newsletter about our events, our artists and news, and about specific topics you have requested to hear about such as our professional development events for artists or our awards. We may have legitimate interests to collect, hold and use other information about you. These include personalising your experience of our website or of the newsletters you receive from us; to help us understand our audience needs better including measuring and understanding how they respond to our artistic events and marketing; to manage our organisation effectively and improve our work; to keep our database accurate and relevant; and, if you are a business contact, to promote our artists and events.

We are committed to protecting your personal information. We use robust and appropriate technologies and policies including encryption to ensure information we have about you is protected. We don't sell, rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We may share information about you with other organisations who help us deliver services to you and who we use in the course of our business (for example we use Mail Chimp to manage our mailing lists and Dropbox for our general data storage). We will make sure that anyone we share data with is under the same conditions as we are bound to by this privacy notice.

Depending on the marketing communications you may have agreed to receive, we use that information to tell you about our ourselves, our artists and future performance events; to tell you about our professional development events for artists and audition opportunities.
We may also contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.
We use a third-party provider, Mail Chimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.
