In November 2008 INDEPENDENT OPERA at Sadler’s Wells will stage a new production of a commissioned chamber orchestration of Claude Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande.
The intimate atmosphere of the Lilian Baylis Studio is the perfect setting in which to evoke the mysterious kingdom of Allemonde and portray the subtle undercurrents and tensions that run deep within the human psyche.
The 35-piece orchestration by the composer Stephen McNeff will be published by Peters Edition.
