INDEPENDENT OPERA Vocal Scholarships—awarded annually in London through the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the National Opera Studio, the Royal College of Music, the Royal Academy of Music, and outside London, through the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Northern College of Music—will start in September 2008. Recipients must be in their final year of study but the remainder of the criteria are set by the individual colleges and the scholarships are allocated through the respective colleges.
